The first day we drove to Montpelier. The drive was long and boring and I was kind of bummed we did not get to go to the beach. After we did that we drove to Milleau were the famous viaduct was it was incredible. Here is a picture from far away, so you can comprehend how big it is.
As we were driving along the landscape changed drastically. It reminded me of New Mexico. We were on top of a plateau and there was not much vegetation and the soil was a purple color, weird huh. It wasn't ugly it was just different than what I am used to. We got to our hotel in Milleau and i have to say it was pretty cool, it was a CASTLE my eyes got as big as melons when I saw it, it was sweet. Dinner at the hotel was nice (the bread was bad) their cheese was good though which made up for the bad bread.
Day two.
Day two we woke up and we went down for a delicious breakfast with awesome hot chocolate. After breakfast my mom gave us the choice of going to the rokfort cheese place, or the leather glove "factory." I chose the glove "factory" because I really didn't like rokfort cheese and I did not want to come out of there smelling like cheese. The "factory" turned out the be the outlet and I think my mom had this all planed out from the start. So she tried on a million pairs of gloves for "other people" she did end up buying 3 pairs 2 for other people and 1 for her. I got to try on one pair that cost twice as less as hers and she said I could not have them because they were to expensive. There was a little place in the outlet that showed people making gloves, and my mom said that the 4 people in there were the factory. After that roller coaster we were going through Milleau and we saw this house and we had to just take a picture so here it is.
Then we drove over the viaduct which was awesome, look how big this is.
At the viaduct rest area we saw 4 awesome cars, for Lotuses. Here is a pic for all you car lovers.
We drove on and we were going to visit some of the cutest towns in France, for real some one actually voted these were the cutest towns. One of my favorites was Ste. Eulaie D'olt. It was so small and so simple. Here are some pictures.
After that town I was really tired from waking up so early,
so i fell to sleep. We arrived at a little town called Conque which is a big town of the pilgrimage that leads into Spain. It was so pretty, and the church was magnificent. What I found odd though is that on the church steeple sparrows would just flock around it like it was there only source of food in the world.
Also at Conque we ate a very delicious crepe. After Conque we arrived at our Gite and the man who owned it was named Sebastian. We met the most delightful people there. There were two British people who I swear should be on a British comedy, not because they are funny, because the way they act. The British man always looked like he was frowning, and the lady would try to speak French and I would always jump in to help her. The French people to my left were dog trainers for hunting competitions and they were so funny, you kinda had to be there though. One guys laugh sounded like Erny from Sesame Street (if you remember what that sounded like). But when I saw the dogs they were completely different, they were serious and very strict with the dogs. But I think the dogs represent there personality perfectly, silly most of the time, but when they need to work the crack down to buisness.

This is so cool to read. Even tho I was there, it is so fun to "relive". Good job - keep those posts coming Walker! love, mom
Wow, Walker! I just sent you an email before I checked out your blog. The pictures are incredible. I can't believe how big the viaduct is. It must have been so exciting to see it.
I don't blame you. I would have chosen gloves over stinky cheese any day.
I know exactly how Ernie sounds, and that helped me get a good picture of the man.
Take care and keep blogging.
